Ok a shot of the base to jog your collective memories. Could it be Iittala ? Wuidart? Wf? It is clearly from a company where design rules over practical matters . Try to drink from it and the liquid will spill over your left and right shoulder simultaneously.

aah but they would pack neatly in a box :)  I don't recognise it but could it be a small vase instead of a tumbler, given the design?  I like it - if it is a tumbler I'd risk it, just so as not to drink out of something with a 'safety rim' >:D.

I think I have seen one with a barcode on the base and had a vague Ikea like impression but it does not seem to be part of their current stock. I also thought candleholder but no idea why.

It is a set of four, so I don' t think it is a candle holder - and an aluminium capsule does not fit. Ikea could be, I'll keep that in mind.
