Stourbridge decanter
« on: December 30, 2011, 06:14:22 PM »
Hi
I have this cut glass decanter, I've been informed that it's most likely Stourbridge and from roughly 1880. It's blown glass and wheel cut, the pattern is exquisitely detailed and depicts a bird diving on a bug which is on a leaf, the foliage then encircles the image. This pattern is only on one side of the decanter, it doesn't extend the whole way round.
I'm hoping that someone may be able to help shed some light on the artist, pattern or manufacturer.
Thanks
Dan
