OK, so who of the folks on here can spot the damage, given the photos supplied??? Other than, of course, the stated problems with the metal ware...........

Just illustrates how sensible it was for folks to be careful about giving an appraisal of value on here - even if tempted to against the board's reccommendations.

Is there a crack & nick in the neck of the left bottle? The pictures are not plentiful enough to really evaluate the condition.

Don't know if I'm finding 'imagined' damage, but the top of the near stopper looks a bit nibbled?  Anyway, it seems he decided to sell them rather than insure them (unless insurance was to cover them in transit . .).

The buyer had to collect the set in person, so would have a chance to evaluate before accepting. No problems.

I'm off to me bed as I'm up early for the Cambridge Glass Fair - so answers tomorrow night, or possibly Monday.

I'm still interested in folks comments though ;) :)

Thanks, Nigel

One of the toppers looks like it could be broken across the top. The pictures are too poor to say for sure. It may just be the angles of the shots.

Okay, Nigel. You better be back here soon. You're torturing the GMB and you know how we can be when we get stressed.  :grrr:
