Czech ? Ribbed Base - Blue Green & Clear - Chribska ?
« on: January 24, 2012, 03:40:31 AM »
These are the only pics I have of the piece I have... It is not really crooked like it seems in the second pic. Well executed and a quality piece of glass.... It stands around 12 inches tall, is green blue and clear with a flat ground and polished base with some age wear. I know I have seen it before but do not know who it is by...  Looking for some help here.....  House & Period.....

TIA

Craig

Hi Craig, looks like Chribska to me.  The closest match I could find is shown below, shape looks same as yours except for the holes in the rim of course:

Here is another similar without the holes: https://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/CHRIBSkA1999?authkey=Gv1sRgCKjbrouFiseK2gE#5435067909159776130

They have been making them for decades, various sizes, shape variations and colour combos, after designs by Josef Hospodka. Looking at the colours I would guess yours is within the last twenty years rather than say the last forty years.
