Hi, yes confirmed, it is definitely not the same, although I admit it is a very good likeness.   The dome is too narrow and curved under in the lamp picture you have shown me - the dome in my lamp is not so deep.  Also, the base is flat rather than pedestal like.

Replacing fittings on repro lamps is one of the scams to be wary of.

Early 20th century cable is unlikely to have survived this long. Paper insulated would have crumbled to dust and natural rubber would have completely hardened and crumble. 1930's cable with rubber insulation might be a little flexible if well stored but not very likely. Rubber insulated from the 1950's could survive and just be useable to wire up a lamp now, to most people it would look incredibly ancient - still unlikely to be safe though.

Reproduction cable can be found.

Now that you have a lead i suggest you bother the manufacturer with further questions and keep us informed of the results.

Tom,
Here are some other lamps by the same manufacturer (just scroll down a little).

Otherwise, it may best best to do as Ivo suggests and contact the manufacturer personally and ask for their opinion.
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

The Lamp is deffinitely NOT from 2001 or anything like as tall as the  La Rochelle Range.  I would think it to be one of the minor French Glass makers from the Nouveau period.

Tom, if you bring the lamp to us w may also be able to idntify the signature .
