David, do you think Lorraine is a possibility?

Not terribly likely in the UK; we don't get much seepage of Canadian glass

I've had (old) Chalet glass here at boot sales.

I agree with Christine about Lorraine in the UK. Chalet had an office in the UK for no more than a couple of years, which says something about their sales there. Lorraine never sold in the UK to my knowledge. However  glass seems to have a way of finding its own way around the world, even in minute quantities, so I wouldn't rule it out completely.

Did you find confirmation that it's a Jaroslav Beranek piece from '59?
I see it's listed as such.

Wow is it??  :o

I would have leaned towards Lorraine Glass myself -- just by the lobes on the bottom.  I would have been fooled  :spls: by this piece

I think the experts agreed that it is not Czech -- so certainly not Jaroslav Beranek either :-\

Looking at the Chalet book, I'm reconsidering Chalet. I can't see this piece in there, but I do see a similar colour, a similar mouth, and similar base, just not the same piece. Let me ask Deborah, the Chalet specialist, to have a look at this thread.
