id request for u. bowl.
« on: January 31, 2012, 07:08:10 PM »
I've looked on the glaspavillon and Sowerby, and the Sklo Union CD, and I don't think it's Bagley  -  but my eyes have got bowlitis - and I now can't see the glass for the trees ;)   and can only assume I've missed this one somewhere along the line.      Striking sort of deco design.      Measures 8" - 210mm in diameter, and underside has flat outer rim typical of older designs, and glows very well.
So, does anyone have an idea which factory would have produced this bowl.  Thanks in advance for all help. :)

It has a sort of Reich look to my eyes; that's where I'd start.

thanks, and yes, there is some similarity with these columns of horizontal lines/curves  -  which always makes me think 'deco'  -  and that is a very attractive pink bowl by the way.   Unfortunately, I've foregotten how or where to find Reich  -  I'm sure I've seen it before on Pamela's 'glas-musterbuch', but now I can't find it :pb:.      Some directions required please. :)

thanks for your help  -  my apologies, for not making myself clear.       Yes, I have seen Reich on the 'pressglass-pavillon' images  -  although am sure my bowl isn't shown (there are pix of only a very few bowls) .......what I was hoping to find were Reich catalogues on the 'glas-musterbuch' site, but that seems not to be the case.
P.S.   Just found, I'm hoping, what I was looking for......it would seem that there are Reich catalogues (at least up to c.1936) on Siegmar Geiselberger's pressed glass webb site at.........www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de......so fingers crossed.          But if no luck I shall come back for more suggestions, please.        thanks again. :)
