French glass - help with part signature?
« on: January 28, 2012, 08:26:34 PM »
Was wondering if anyone can recognise this, there's a signature(or part of one) you can see in the pic, but there's also a "FRANCE" acid etched underneath the name that my pic didn't pick up.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Stuart

Hi and welcome - that looks like a very statuesque and elegant vase.  Unfortunately your sig picture doesn't blow up well enough to see clearly. Perhaps another try with the camera and some talc on the sig would be helpful.

Thanks for your help guys and apologies for not contacting you sooner. Tried to post another pic but it wont seem to let me. Think your right though, after looking up the sevres mark it is definitely the maker. Although I've looked everywhere for a similar piece I can't find one anywhere on the web, any idea where the best place to get it valued or sell an item like this?
Thanks again
Stuart
