Fantastic Modern American Glass Artist
wolkenreb:
Really stunning pieces. I would love to see one in 'real life'. Even a shard of that lovely glass would be nice to have!
BohaGlass:
It's a shame we can't have a forum to celebrate glass artists, as it would be difficult to have to get hold of permission to use images of their work
chopin-liszt:
We can use our own images of pieces we have.
I've actually been planning to start a thread, similar to "show your displays" but concentrating on early Studio Glass - after all, it's officially the 50th "birthday" of the Studio Glass Movement - if the start is assumed to be the Toledo seminars, given on 23rd March 1962, and all due defference is given to others, such as Frederick Carder, Maurice Marinot etc. who paved the way.
I thought we ought to do something to celebrate this - but the problems with the board kind of got in the way in March - and the camera and I are going through a very rocky patch in our relationship right now.
BohaGlass:
That is a great idea. My pieces are all Isle of Wight and Mdina. I just wish I had a few Patchen's in my collection too!
