I've been meaning to photograph the modern ones for some time...I'll do it next time I see them.  It'd be good to have a record of the different shapes.

Sorry, but the bird is Chinese. They made a lot of different pieces with this filigrana pattern. Still pretty.

I'm sure you are right Anita,  I haven't read it all through again,  but I think that was the conclusion we came to with that thread. But as Anita says, some of them are pretty and do seem to sell reasonably well.
