large glass stork ? Chinese? Rikaro?
« on: February 26, 2012, 10:33:39 AM »
The birds are getting larger! Picked this up today from a house sale.

It is 47 cm tall and weighs about 5+ kg (my scales won't weight it & the bathroom scales are not accurate enough)

Base is clear and polished flat. No wear that I can see - and I would have thought it would show quickly on such a heavy piece . Lovely colour of pink and well shaped  wings. Head and beak reasonably well shaped.

Was wondering about its origin? China?  Wondered about the Rikaro crystal stuff, but cannot see this design amongst their pictures on the web.

Does anyone have any ideas please?
