Art Glass Glasses. Requesting Help with Identification.
« on: March 07, 2012, 11:32:51 AM »
Would be very grateful for any information that might help me to identify these glasses. I've attached photos of the glasses and the etched signature.

Thank you in advance for your help...

Hello ged123.  welcome to the board. What a lovely pair of glasses.
I am sure someone here will recognise the signature.
It might help us to to help you, to know your location and if that was where they were purchased.
Rosie.

Thank you for your note. The glasses have been bouncing around my family for years, so no idea where or when they were purchased.

Wish to sell them. Hoping they might be worth something.

Thank you again...

hello jed  -  as mentioned by Rosie, it can sometimes help to know the country from which this request is coming  -  it's not guaranteed to give the answer, but if we know whether you're in the States or Europe, for example, it might help.     Two questions if I may......what is your interpretation of the last word (looks as though it might start with 'Z') - and the gold colour of the knop - is the gold within the glass, or painted on. :)

Paul... Thank you for your note. My family lives in Southern California. No one remembers when or where the glasses were purchased. The gold appears to be on the inside.

I'm attaching another photo of the signature. I also photographed the signature from the second glass just in case.

Thank you again for your help

Good guess Rosie. I think you're right! Is there a list of art glass artists that I could reference with the info we do have??
