Studio vase marked NSSG 194

(1/2) > >>

Tigerchips:
My mum spotted this vase in a shop and took a photo of it on her phone (hence the poor photo's). The mark reads... NSSG194

The only thing i can find is New-Small & Sterling Glass Studio, based in Canada.

Just wondering if this is one of their pieces. Looks interesting from the photo.

Anne:
They are also on Facebook TC, might be worth asking them if it's one of theirs.

langhaugh:
New-Small has been blowing glass for over 30 years, which makes him one of Canada's pioneer glass blowers. His style has changed quite a bit over the years, so it's possible to find a wide range of pieces by him.  I don't recognize the piece in the photo, but there's a lot of his work I haven't seen.  I like his early work when Margo Thomson painted on the glass he blew. Here's a couple of pieces so you can get a taste  and so you'll now the piece in question isn't an early piece. I've attached a photo of the signature for you.

I'm sure you'd get a reply if you emailed him.

Tigerchips:
Thanks, Anne & David. I've sent an email.

I bought the vase so now i can show you better photo's. It is 7 inches high.

Gorgeous - is it all satin or just the blue foot?
