Glass Ashtray
« on: March 22, 2012, 02:34:51 PM »
I bought it as my own ashtray and its a nice piece of glass. It is 8cm in height and 10 cm diameter. The base is concave. Any clues ??
Pete. :-)

Possibly from Gralglas´ ´Las Palmas´ range; designer of this range was Roland Pösch
if I remember correctly... Sorry, I don´t have my book at hand to check at the moment.

The bases are identical. The range was made in the 60's which surprises me if this is part of it. It looks newer and only has light wear. I have been to a few sites after searching gralglas and got sidetracked by Collectors weekly and all the eye catching glass on there. I have yet to see the clear glass ashtray yet. Makes me not want to use it. Thanks dirk.
Pete. :-)
