Murano or Empoli (?) Bulicante Amber Vase
« on: March 25, 2012, 02:16:46 PM »
This vase is thick and heavy, and the color and rough pontil remind me of Blenko.  But the form seems Italian to me.  Any help would be appreciated.
Charles.

Not a tiny little Biot stamp on the foot, by any chance?

Ivo -
No Biot mark, unfortunately, but thanks for the clue.  Your comments are always educational.  I have been collecting a long time and never knew about Biot.  Apparently, they did not export a lot to the States.

Charles.
