Any clues on Decanter and Glasses
« on: April 03, 2012, 02:18:07 PM »
I have seen these in a local charity shop (they know me too well). They look like good Quality to my untrained eye. It has piping (Moorcroft style) around the flowers, perfect guilding. It has six shot? glasses in the same style. I have permission to use pictures (phone again, sorry) and will pass on the details if any are forthcoming. I realise the shots are vague but hope its enough for a pointer. No markings on the base. Decanter is just over 12 inches and glasses about 3 inches. They are amber glass. Thanks. Pete

There are probably a few countries this could belong to but i would probably look in the Czech catalogs first. I've seen similar in glass revue.
One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. William Hartnell

Thanks for the pointers. This is a bit of a minefield as to which are worth money and which are 'Romanian' Holiday Boho. I think I found a match on ebay of all places and even though its in red it is too similar to ignore. The shop has it priced at 12.99 and I think that is about right for the set. I hope Im not wrong. I will nip in and see them tomorrow as I have my eye on another piece for me this time ;D Thanks again.
