amber coloured sugar for id please.
« on: April 11, 2012, 07:50:00 PM »
sadly no marks/numbers, so hoping for an id from someone please.         Typical hobnail pattern - scalloped rim - eight sided pedestal/stem, with flared hollow foot, and unusual knop.   I'm assuming it's a sugar, and quite a substantial example - showing good amount of wear on the foot rim and some around the other projections.    Thought it might have been one of the Davidson 1895 hobnail suite pieces, but now don't think so, and don't see it on the Sowerby CD's or Pamela's glaspavillon, although it has a definite older look to the design.    Anyone think it might be Greener perhaps.   Height is about 5.3/4" (150mm).     Thanks for looking, and fingers crossed someone might have the answer. :)
