Home Sweet Home Ashtray -- Stained Decoration ??

Hi there:
Is this anything or just a novelty piece? An ashtray with like colored stained decorations on it. There is felt on the bottom but I lifted a corner of it to show the base. Is it old or anything or possible to find a maker at all.

I just thought it kinda looked neat ...... and bought for less than a .50 cents .....lol
