Small Bohemian vase, could it be Loetz Phanomen ?
« on: May 29, 2012, 08:59:07 PM »
Lovely little vase, just 6 inches tall , I've had a good look around the Bohemian sites, and i think it may well be
a quite early Loetz Phanomen  ::)  . Loetz.com , decors index, nearest appears to me pre 1900, genre 6893.

Hoping i'm right ! The ground mark around the top, shows that its lost , probably a silver collar, shame, that
would have helped date it ! Not signed, no Pontil mark.
Am i barking up the wrong tree ?
Thanks
Andy

Heres a link to a vase , Creta Phanomen 6893, date 1899. Looks a dead ringer to me  :D
ooh , link doesnt work, its on http://www.loetz.com/
click on early years , page 2 !

Here's some photos in the daylight, but i'm feeling pretty confident now, maybe Nigel or someone may
just confirm my theory  ::)
Cheers

Here it is: http://www.loetz.com/earlyyearspage2.htm

To get the link to work, right click and choose the option 'open link in new tab', view the new tab and then copy the address from your browser's address bar.

Decor looks like a good match, it would be icing on the cake to match the exact shape too.
