Nic, I don't know if you ever got an id for this vase, but this is the kind of Gaspari piece I was thinking of which made me mention it.

Oops, I missed the post above. Not sure it's related to the Sasso vases - they're a lot more random and chunky.

I finally got around to taking some half-decent photos of the vase in the hope it'll ring a bell with someone...
