Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in getting back, and thanks for all your help in positively identifying the vase as Vasart, to say I'm pleased would be putting it rather mildly.

Frank, I have to say you were making me slightly nervous when you didn't commit, but I know it's not always easy to tell from a photo (especially mine), and I'd rather a cautious decision any day, than a rushed/wrong one. Much appreciated.
Gary, thanks for putting me out of my misery, the suspense was killing me! :?
I get the feeling you know someone that would be interested in the vase should it come up for sale (not much gets past me y'know!). I had already thought about this one, and I think I'll probably put the vase back up for auction. I hate to part with any glass, but I believe it would be better appreciated in a specialist collection than in a more general collection like mine, and the proceeds should help me fill the gap quickly.
Lastly, as if you hadn't already done enough, what would the colour be described as? It was described as pink when I bought it, but to me it can look anywhere between a dark purple, to burgundy, to brown depending on the light. Is it a known specific named colourway?
Thanks again everyone for sharing your knowledge, and taking the time to help.
Pete.
P.S. - Frank, I have a few Caithness brochures from around 98-99 if they're of any use to the new site. Whoever gets the task of running the site would have to sort out the copyrite side of things, but I'd be happy to forward some scans to them if and when needed.
