Unusual Shape Thick Leaf Pattern Vase - ID Help

I thought this vase had an unusual design. I think it might be an older piece, but I'm not sure.  A Google image search came up with nothing like it.  It measures 10.25" inches tall and 6" inches wide.

Mikasa is only an importer (perhaps a designer), so you still don't know the manufacturer. Possibly Waltherglas
