Scavo or Antique Kuttrolf
« on: September 03, 2012, 06:05:28 PM »
Hi,
I've had this strange little stopperless lightly iridescent kuttrolf bottle for some time and often wondered whether it might be really really old, i.e. Roman. I know many companies make modern day copies of old glass and sell them under the Scavo title but I wonder what the members here might think. It measures 5" or so tall and contains quite a few bits of debris and has a rough outer surface. What do you folk think.
Thanks again,
Bryn

if new then the glass in the pontil mark has to be shiny - if old it will have withered along with the rest of the surface.
