bark vase in tequila sunrise
« on: September 22, 2014, 01:46:12 PM »
This 17 cm bark vase has a ground and sort-of polished bottom and the remains of a metal foil label which is - you guessed it - illegible. The colour is best described as Tequila sunrise.
Hope the sticker helps in finally getting a positive ID for these.

I think another one of those (very likely) Japanese vases like >> mine.
Mould seems to be identical to mine as far as I can see.

Glaskilian have several of them with "S"-labels and attribute them to Sea glasbruk (http://www.glaskilian.de/Sea_Glasbruk.522.0.html), Sweden, but the same label can be found with "Japan" added...

Thank you, it does confirm my suspicion. Juxtaposing these bark vases to a Sasaki ashtray explains a lot ;-)
