Topic: Help with tall pink fluted vase with green base.

Hello everyone and thank you for this board. I'm new and in need of help identifying the maker of my rather tall, 16 1/2" pink satin vase (I think it's called satin?). Any information regarding possible makers or even the correct terminology that describes the characteristics of the vase so I might better be able to research it would be appreciated. Thank you, again. I hope I've included photographs properly, sorry in advance if I haven't!

Hello Penelope, and welcome.
Your pics are great, thank-you! I would suspect this might be Czech, but I'm only going on some vague hunches - not my area, one I'm very new to!
I would think the green bits are uranium glass - it should glow very bright green in UV light. The upward drippy bits at the bottom look awfully like a feature of some Skrodlovice pieces - there are clear glass cylinders with this "paint-drip" pattern on them - and I have a piece (also Skrodlovice) by a different designer which has the drippy effect at both the bottom and the top, but I would think your piece is a good bit older than these rather chunky and more organic sorts of designs, given it's delicate nature and the older style... and the pink stripey satinated bit!

Best wait until somebody who does know what they're talking about does come along though!
