Many of the shapes evolved over time and we do not know which Ysart actually made this one yet.

Thank you all for your interest in this bowl. I have posted more pics to my site listed above and these can be enlarged by doubleclicking on the required image. I am 74 and I remember the Mr Ysart who brought the bowl to my mother. It must have been Salvator as I remember comparing him to my own grandfather who was born in 1868. It is possible this was an experimental piece as I see air bubbles in the glass - but I am no expert.

Hi Dougie,

No it was not experimental but a standard piece mde at the time of wartime restictions on the manufacture of decorative glassware. So it is a slightly illegal frigger as Monart was not officially in production. Bubbles are quite common.

I had suspected it to be Salvador so thanks for the confirmation.
