Ovoid vase Czech??
« on: February 16, 2013, 04:22:23 PM »
Hi, not had much luck in locating this ovoid vase with ribbed sides although it does remind me of some Czech glass.
Its 2.069 kg , 7.750 inches tall, 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
Flat polished base with some ware scratches and a flat polished rim
Many thanks
Malc

Hi,
I believe your vase is German, Beyer & Co.  See this thread: Beyer vase

Thank you so much Anik it was brought from Poland by some friends a couple of years ago who passed it on to me. I love 60/70s design glass and hope to find out if Beyer is still producing ?
Many thanks
Malc

You're not alone in thinking Czech. I see them regularly on eBay being sold as Czech.
