Here is another piece on eBay that shows his signature and explains that the bottom line reads MM 11   I think!!

Hi Patti,  it was really David who set the trail, I would have stuck with Murano and still be searching. However, I do like a challenge and I rarely ever give up.

I think it is a lovely piece of art glass, all the more special now you know the maker.
