Victorian Era Cased Ewer, yellow and pink
« on: March 09, 2013, 09:34:00 PM »
I see this style fairly often, but this one is better formed overall than most.  Figuring late 19th century Bohemian or English, but can anyone narrow it down?  Polished pontil, and it has more numbering than I've seen before: 5. B.301.  894/5.

Thanks.
Forrest Poston

I'd say Bohemian the way the numbers are written but you never know  ::)

If the raised bits under the gilding are yellow, I'd go for Bohemian too

I was rather hoping to narrow it rather more but appreciate the input.

the numbering system may be a Harrach number.
if you take a search around, wracking my brains I think  I recall seeing something similar on maybe Galle's site?
edited to add
this is the site I was thinking of but haven't checked if it, or similar was there.

Thanks.  I think you've nailed it.  Numbering pattern is certainly the same......assuming other Bohemian companies didn't use similar styles, which it seems the didn't....not this extensive.
