Pressed Tortoise Trinket Box for ID Please.
« on: March 12, 2013, 12:46:33 AM »
Hello Everyone,
My latest treasure is this trinket box, He is 7 and 1/2 inches long and 4and 1/2 inches tall to the top of his snail finial. Also he is at least 1/4 inch thick so a good solid piece.  This piece is not dissimilar to the penguin or the duck flower frog but I haven't found him on the sklo union CD and
Mr Google hasn't helped me in my quest to ID him either!
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
meegs

Hi Frank,
well it certainly appealed to my sense of humour, although a hare may have amused me more!
I've just spent time trawling Pamela s Pressglas site and there it is under Deckeldosen - Boxes and made by Portieux.
Thank-you Pamela!

Cheers
meegs
