Amber trinket set with (enamelled?) decorative panels – ID = Stolzle - Hermanova

(1/12) > >>

agincourt17:
An amber pressed glass part trinket set comprising a tray (14 x 7 inches) and a pair of matching candlesticks. All the pieces have distinctive (enamelled?) reddish-brown decorative panels in a kind of faux-tortoiseshell pattern.

Any comments, suggestions, or ID, please?

Anne:
Ahhh Fred, somewhere on the board is some more of this pattern, but I can't recall if they were trinket set parts or something else...  a search may turn it up somewhere...  :)

Thank you for the link, Anne. Well spotted and recollected, especially after over 3½ years!

Unfortunately, the linked topic leaves me somewhat confused. Pain’s faux tortoiseshell bowl is obviously marked Czechoslovakia, and yet the pink bowl on Pamela’s site is attributed to Bernsdorf (and indeed, the topic header now identifies the bowl as from Bernsdorf). Wasn’t the Ankerglas Bernsdorf glass works in Germany, not Czechoslovakia?

Anyway, whatever the attribution, we now have tray, candlesticks and a pot. I wonder if the pot originally had a lid? Hopefully more pieces may be forthcoming - let’s hope we don’t have to wait another 3½ years.

Is there a case for consolidatng both these topics into one, Anne?

Simba:
THanks for posting this picture of the trinket set (I purchased it from Ebay and am waiting for it to arrive) I also posted a query about the bowl which I also have (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,49432.msg278754.html#msg278754) and I now have a small plate or shallow dish http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-18393 neither have any markings. I thought the plate looked like Stolzle
