A substantial part of a large trinket set made in Germany by the Brockwitz glassworks. The pattern is 03036 -03048 (after the pattern numbers of the individual pieces), and it appeared in their 1915 catalogue. The uranium glass has a 30% lead content, and there was also a rose pink version with a 25% lead content.

I would love to see the tray and candlesticks in uranium glass – I imagine they are quite spectacular.

I have recently purchased this trinket set and now looking to locate two missing items from the set. I am looking for the small bottle's (flakon's) stopper and the lid for the pomade box (pomadedose).

I would also be interested in how to interpret the sizes of the bottles (flakon) in the catalog. There are four sizes listed, I have three of them but not sure which three.

In addition to the 1915 catalog, they also appear in the 1921, 1926 and 1931 catalogs.

Congratulations on your purchase of some very beautiful items ol55! I imagine the sizes in the catalogue next to the flakons are height measured in centimetres (cm) so 30cm being the tallest, 27.5cm, 25cm and 22.5cm shortest. :)

Thanks for the suggestion and I had also thought that might be the case but sadly not. :'( There does not appear to be any physical dimension that directly relates to the catalog sizes. I even tried volume in cc and fl oz, and mass in grams a oz but not luck ???

Hmm how strange, have you tried measuring with and without the stopper?

I wonder if the "sizes" shown might actually be prices... M being for Marks? If you look at the tray (Tablett) no. 03048 it has the size as 31 x 23 cm and then on the line below it says M 60.--

A bit of googling brings up the info that pre-1914 1,000 German Marks equalled approx Ł50, so on that basis M 60 would seem to be about Ł3 - still a reasonably large sum at the time.

Here the clear glass ring holder of this set.
I'm wondering, by the way,  if it's correct what Agincourt17 says in his posting of March 30th.  I think 30% and 25% is not about the lead content but about the extra fee you had to pay if you wanted items in pink or green.  In clear glass the ring holder would cost 22,50 Mark;  in rosé or edelgrün there was an "Aufschlag" of 25%-30%. So an increase of the price.

Thank you, Eugénie, for correcting my mistranslation of the catalogue text.
