Sowerby 2630 candlestick – variant with open centre, or....?

I keep coming across these candlesticks, which look for all the world like those normally found with the Sowerby 2630 trinket set EXCEPT that the centre of the diamond-shaped central stem section is entirely open (the sides of the diamond merely framing the opening)  rather than being filled with a flat panel bearing a fan. 11 cms high, 7 cms across the centre section and approx 10 cms  diameter across the concave base.

So, are they simply a variant of the Sowerby 2630 set candlestick, because I never seem to see them with the sets, or were they Sowerby’s standalone version, or were they , in fact, made by someone else?

Comments or suggestions, please.

Coming back to this finally with an answer!  The open candlesticks are shown with the 2630 set in the 1940 catalogue  and the filled in ones are shown with the 2630 set in the 1956 and 1960 catalogues.
