Help identifying vase
« on: May 06, 2013, 02:30:56 PM »
So glad I found this site!!!
I bought this vase a few years ago from a carboot sale and have had no luck finding out what type of glass it is, or if it is by a specific maker. There are no makers marks on it, it is very heavy and if you hold it up to the light it is slightly opaque, there are also some air bubbles within the glass. Any info on this piece would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board Niknaknat.

The thick glass and unpolished pontil mark makes me suspect your vase was made fairly recently, perhaps in China or Thailand.

John
