Actually, Kevin H inadvertantly put me onto it with his suggestion of three towers.
Then when I put that in the search engine I found his Ysart thread that shows a paperweight with a three turret castle badge for the Cambridge regiment.
That set me looking at castle pontil marks and the Flag of Gibraltar came up,  so I put variations of Gibraltar Glass in the search engine.
But it was you that came up with their website Christine... don't they make nice glass?

This might be one to buy Pete!!

I shall look out for this glass.

The impressed logo is easy to remember, as the three towers were called Faith, Hope, and Charity, and the key unlocks the gateway of the Mediterranean.

Gosh, that is very interesting Bernard,  and I think I will remember it that way and not make the same mistake of seeing what I thought I should be seeing instead of what was really there, and needed more investigation.

Oops — I got it wrong!   Faith, Hope and Charity were the three Gloster Gladiators that defended Malta in 1940, not Gibraltar.   Sorry about that!    ;D

OK Bernard,  revised memory jogger will be:
We have Faith that when we go glass hunting we will find something which we Hope will be valuable, and if not we will give to a Charity shop!! If they don't want it,  we will throw away the Key!!
Boom boom!!

Well I never  ;D I lived there for a few years in the late  80's but as I said I could not get my eyes to focus, has to be an age thing :-\ Thank you for the detective work all of you. I am off to the site to see where the hell they put a glass studio in Gib, they were running out of room when I was there!!
