Fake Ysart Paperweight
« on: May 21, 2013, 05:47:00 AM »
I have what i beleive to be a fake Ysart paperweight circ 1988-90. It is a well made dragonfly weight with lataccino wings on a blue and white ground. Can someone please tell me what would be a fair price to ask for this weight.

Hi Tony

The GMB does not post values, but if you send me a message via my website I will give you my thoughts on the latter.

Yes - photo would be most interesting.  As to value - Alan is correct about valuations and GMB,  but I would suggest that you search on eBay as a number of fake Ysart weights have been listed on there recently which may give a guidance. As you will probably be aware, the fake Ysarts are collectible in themselves.

I have just put the weight on e-bay australia with pictures, i would appreciate comments on the weight. It is under the heading of ysart style paperweight. I have clearly stated this is a copy and have no intentions of deceiving people.

yeah i did see it, but if you copy and paste a link on here it will be easier and give you more watchers who may like to bid on your weight, as said before even the fakes have a following by collectors
