Ivo:
This is one of Queen's day finds.

I'm sure it is not the 100,000 $$ item - but at least I have high hopes of having it identified.

Glen:
It's a Leerdam item, Ivo.

Shown as No. 1323 (Leerdam catalogue), we illustrated it in "A Century of Carnival Glass" page 80, in the chapter on Leerdam (naming it "Dutch Star").

Sorry it's not a $100,000 piece - but it is an exquisite little Dutch treasure

Della:
Hi Ivo,

Whilst looking at your gorgeous creamer, I saw that you have two unidentified elephants.
If I am not mistaken, these will have a flat back?
I saw one last week for sale with a "Joska" label still attached.  :)

Ivo:
<smiles again, looks at Glen, looks at Della, broad smile>

Thank you - It is not always easy with a company like Leerdam who denies ever having made Carnival glass.

and nice to haver the elephants ID'd, I had no idea that Joska did casting!

Maybe they would find it easier to accept if they knew about the $100,000 vase
