A pink glass perfume bottle with bakelite screw-on top. 10x8cm. Marked Regd. 810 980 and 4995.

Not listed at http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/regnos10.htm

Is the number in the Blue Book? If so, could some kind GMB member let me have the precise registration details, please? (The registration date should be some time in March 1935).

Thank you, Greg.

(Sorry, I should have said 1936 as a putative date rather than 1935 - typo!).

That's certainly a new registrant to me, and googling hasn't revealed anything about them.

Does anyone have any information about the registrant, please?

Thank you for the link, Christine.

So, it seems to be the not-uncommon situation of a London agent or importer registering the design in Britain, but the actual manufacture being carried out elsewhere (probably Czechoslovakia in this case), then the glassware imported to Britain for re-sale.

Sadly, I have still do not managed to acquire a copy of the Blue Book, but it might be interesting to see if there were any more Vitrea-registered designs.

Sterling work, Greg - Thank you.

Nice to have them selected en bloc. I will copy them on to an archive file for future reference.

26 other registrations in just under 6 years, yet RD 810980 is the first I have come across - I obviously need to search harder for their registered designs.
