Probably not but maybe Murano?
« on: October 17, 2013, 10:53:36 PM »
Hehehe, the title of this post alone should tell you that I'm incredulous as to whether this piece is actually Murano or by a modern company that's making Murano "style" items.  :-/  It's quite heavy, but I'm just not sure!!  I would, as always, love your learned advice.

Thank you in advance!

Looks very similar to Chinese pieces I've seen.  Quite well made.

Thanks, David.  That's what I suspected, but the glass *is* very well-made, so I wanted to get others' opinions.  :-)

Could you post a pic of the base please. It's a nice piece. A lot of Chinese 'Murano' about, even advertised as Murano on some Chinese wholesale sites with a fair amount of Scandinavian thrown in.  Unless you are one of the much more educated glassies on here, I do not put myself in there  ;D, it's difficult sometimes to know without asking on here. I would still have this on display  :)
Pete. :-)
