Red Apple Sauce Dish
« on: June 30, 2013, 09:41:43 AM »
Hello all, this is my 1st post. I think this is an Apple Sauce dish with a silver plated lid. I guess the use from the design of the lid; there is clearly a gap for the spoon handle which I don't have. There is an inscription on the lid 'Silver Plate on brass Made in England'. There is possibly a makers name above but is illegible. It is 11cms high to the top of the apple stalk, 8 cms wide, and 237 grams in weight.
Can anyone tell me anything about this ?

thank you
SirBob
