Despite all our efforts we were unable to find neither origin nor maker - can you help, please 

Thomas Joyce of Inchicore Pressed Glass Museum has got a clear version in the unknown section too.

The pattern is called "Parquet" but the maker is not known. I am certain it was produced by an English company . .  but I do not know which. My evidence is a butter dish (same pattern) with a label that reads "Amberite - Made in England".

That's the closest we can get with factual information, Pamela. I can guess who the maker might have been, but I don't have strong evidence to back it up yet. If anyone knows what factory used the "Ambrite" name and label, that would be a big step forward.

(Please note—I spelled "Ambrite" wrongly in my first post. Blame the heat wave  It is definitely AMBRITE).
