;D Don't worry, Ivo -- I will not start my glass-making career with an Incalmo piece.
And thanks a lot for explaining the matter further!

So at least I know that an experienced glass blower has made my piece, just not which one :)

experienced yes, but I'm not sure it is truly incalmo. If I were to attempt making it, I would go about it in some different ways and so just as the one you see there would be no differential line between the 2 colors. It may be incalmo but there are other ways to achieve this same look. If I was running production of this piece it would be more economical to do it other ways than incalmo and still achieve this same look and use fewer assistants and have a smaller rate of rejections. Ivo, in my experience, one such as the one shown would require more than just 2 highly experienced blowers.

Thanks a lot Tom for the glass artist's point of view!

I took two close-ups of the area where the two pieces are joined together (at least that is what I assume).
There is a ridge at the upper side, while at the inside the transition seems quite smooth.

Unfortunately very hard to see (and capture)

Here is that Dartington bowl I mentioned, perhaps not incalmo but it looks like there are two blown bubbles to me, one open at the base and the other open at the top. It has a Dartington Crystal paper label and is acid etched "Dartington" on the base, apparently a design by Samantha Sweet.

Thanks a lot John for taking the pic of the bowl! :D
Similar style indeed, though I would rather think mine is from a different maker...
