You have to add it to your profile, it's nothing to do with registration, so it's personal preference whether you add it or not

I can clear up the confusion over the missing Location info... under the previous version of the board the Location field was an add-on, which I installed. When we migrated to the current version of the board that add-on no longer worked, nor was it needed, as the new version has a Location field built in. The big problem is that migrating from old to new didn't port across the data for Locations, so each member has to update their own profile please (or a spare admin has to spend time doing it, and we don't have a spare admin! :P)

Paul's was there as I recall seeing it...

so to update your info, this is what you need to do...

1. Click the Profile link on the top menu bar or the Profile icon alongside any of your own posts.
2. Select Forum Profile under the Modify Profile menu on the left hand side.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen where it says
Location: Tell us in which country you are located
and enter what you want. It can be a country and, if wanted an area or a city.
4. Click the Change Profile button at the bottom right, and all is done.
5. Check that the Location is showing alongside your posts as you want it to.

You can also add an Area of Interest in the line above that of Location, if you have a particular glass interest.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

many thanks Anne - also for the explanation of how to re-do the details ;D  -  I'll get around to this soon.        For those who may cherish some friendly thoughts I'm near London - and if there's anyone to whom I owe money..............then I've moved ;) ;)

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.
Alfred Lichtwark (1852-1914)
