I am hoping someone can help with identifying this lovely big bowl, I have had no luck searching for a maker. It is 30 cms in diameter, and has no makers marks.

thanks in advance
Auliya

I am not sure what the protocol is, but as this has slipped off the first page with no responses, I thought I should add some more information, including that there is wear to the feet, and air bubbles in the glass, and that it came to Australia with a family from Holland many years ago. I am guessing it is probably Czech, but am hoping that someone may have come across one before.

cheers

Hi Auliya. Have you tried looking for it on Pamela's Pressed Glass website?

Yes I have, twice, with no luck - it isn't there, that I can find. It can't be the only one around, surely :-) There must be some info lurking somewhere!

cheers

I found it with a google image search "footed art deco glass bowl holland", and there it was, of all the simple things! I had looked through the catalogues, but it was near the bottom of the page and I had missed it, it wasn't till I went to the site with the photos that I actually found the catalogue reference. I am over the moon, I have a bit of Walther glass but have never come across this one. A friend who is a much more experienced collector than me had seen the bowl before but said no one had been able to attribute it, as far as she knew.

I am almost brave enough to say this might be a ((rare)) one! :-)

cheers

I have been turning my computer upside down to find a photograph of an identical item but have not been zble to find it.It has to be there - abide with me.  It is identical in shape - but the colour is dark blue or black- in any case opaque. The inside is brushed with dark red stain, the underside with yellow/ green - a stunning finish.I have been unable to place the technique, it looks like s ilver oxidebut could be enamel.  Very happy that zt least I now know the base shape...

Wow, Ivo -- that is Walther "Perlit", rare pieces as far as I have read.

There is also a catalogue in another issue showing the whole range.
