Funnily enough, it's the "cost of electricity" Michael uses to disallow me from lighting my display at all.
He seems quite determined that I should live in the dark.

We still have some of the early "energy saving" bulbs in use. The kind you need to wait 15 minutes for them to warm up before they finally emit a dull glow. The sitting room plafont requires 5 bulbs. It is only permitted 2!
