I have no idea what you'd do with one of these, far less two of them, it's very attractive, but what is it?

I presume they are for short stemmed flowers but flowers look better outside and these inside, that 'sticky up bit' is a removable frog,;D ;D

Keith there is a large basket with loop handle , candlesticks that you can pop an inset in to convert to take a posy they came in a very nice box  and a few other shapes , i sold my collection at Bourne end Auctions last year you may be able to get pictures . i had them many years . Simon Cottle is a fan of Constance Spry Glass he sold an earlier collection for me at Sothebys Bond Street before he moved to Bonhams .

My wife was very much into floral art (not floristry which is what florists do).  Constance Fry was also very much into floral art.  The vases were designed to "disguise" to some extent the stems of the flowers as they are not normally part of a floral arrangement.  I have 2 vases by Brierley Crystal.   I don't think yours will be one of her designs Bruce, they all seem to have the squiggly sides.

Thanks JP, I have seen the basket and a pair of candlesticks at a fair last year but the price was too much.
Ross, I have a large vase somewhere between Chris's piece and my signed pieces, the base does look right but difficult to tell from a picture,  ::) ;D ;D
