Well sleuthed Mike, persistence paid off. So the box was the key in the end!

Hello again John,

I was sure there was nothing 'fishy' about the box  :)

The box was actually buried at the back of a store room and the guy selling could easily have just not told me or had a quick look and not bothered to find it. I think without the box the chances of finding anything about this piece would have been zero.

Mike

Hello Mike

So here is the cranberry issue with the same markings and a link to the factory. AJETO...http://www.ajetoglass.com/en/..................if memory serves me correct it has a designer attached...and a very good one at that.....just send pic to them and they will help.
I know here in Switzerland these sell in the region 300-400Sfr.

enjoy

That's amazing Norman, thank you.

I've just got back from my travels and have been "disconnected" for the last day or so and have only just seen your posts.

I have been checking my emails and was beginning to despair as my message directly to Nestlé has gone unanswered.

The information you posted was spot on and answers all my questions. I've even found the piece has a name 'Gemelli' which in Italian means Twins and it's illustrated being used both ways.

I have the Amber, you have the Cranberry, but I see they made it in Blue also.

No information on Borek Sipek's web site regarding the quantities made or their intended recipients, but I'm still hopeful my email is trickling through Nestlé's system and I might yet get some more details.

His C.V. and Life Story are amazing and it's unfortunate that's there's not more details of his previous work.

Thanks again for remembering the contents of your storeroom  :)

Best regards,
Mike

Hi Mike
Its a pleasure to finally help someone.
I would suggest you get off an email to Mr.Sipek and ask the questions direct. Forget about Nestle they are just so big and money fixated that they would not have the time ...at least in the near future...to answer a puny question like...who what and how many as it would cost them Sfr250.00 per hour just to look and then here in the Schweiz they charge Sfr150.00 for a short letter confirmation.
its all money money money !!!!!!!!!
perhaps i am totally wrong but then i can place a Sfr10.00 bet on it!..:-))))

Have a great weekend.
