I would like to return to your message of the 2nd September concerning glued glass. Messrs Beyer Kristalglaswerk used a method of glueing glass that employed two seperate glues. One glue was applied to one part and the second to the second part
and the object then was introduced to ultra violet light the bond was safe and very secure. This method was used to affix glass
feet to bowls, vases, and also to glue metal mountings to jewelry boxes, ashtrays and decanters. I imported substantial quantities of items where this process was employed and they all proved to be durable and secure. As I was the sole importer of Beyer products in the 1970s and 80s to the UK maybe I will be able to help you with any other questions that you may have.
