I think this isn't Whitefriars,

Another eBay buy, which (with my very limited knowledge) I think isn't Whitefriars.

Hopefully someone smarter can confirm or tell me I'm wrong.

In the attached pics, 1 is from the listing - and it seems ok in that pic.

But 2 shows the shape to be less domed than usual.

And in 3, the base doesn't seem as sharp as usual; and those grooves are something I've never seen.

UPDATE: Having looked at it again... I'm wondering if it might be a 'second' quality W/F, with the base left unground.

So is the photo2 item W/f? Because of the base, I'd have said not - but I don't know enough.

What makes a 'back door example'?

I thought Aqua was just a colour; are you saying it's also the name of a model, and that it might be W/f - or have I misunderstood?

Hi all 3 are Whitefriars the amber one would have been slipped in the pocket and taken home, the 'finishing' shop was away from where it was made the 2nd Ocean green and the 3rd twilight.
