Here is a pale amber vase with two hoops - any ideas?

Fairly sure this one is Riihimaen Lasi Adam.

what worries me on this one is the rim profile  -  it looks as though it has some thickening which I don't see on the book examples from either Finland or Sweden.                      The book says that Finnish pieces have polished rims, usually  -  whilst the Aseda examples are hot finished, usually.               The barley -sugar colour of this piece does look more like an Aseda colour.                   But not my area, so probably shouldn't speculate :)

There is no thickening at rim, it is hot worked rather than polished - the base has a circular indent see photo.

Probably not much use, however, there is an example of your vase in the link below, which has been uploaded by a Riihimaki collector. Having said that I have also just spotted a few other Aseda examples on the previous page. I think this colour or similar was used by both Aseda and Riihimaen Lasi. I'll see if I can find any other examples for comparison.

Just looking at a few others, think this one is possibly a Tamara Aladin design.

thickening was probably not the right word Adam  -  however, it was the slightly lipped finish to the rim that I was referring to, and having looked again at the 'Fire & Sea' book, can now see that this feature is certainly shown occuring on an Aseda vase (although the vase in question is not the same design as yours).           With the Finnish factory, in the same book, I can see only a gradual smooth flare at the rim area.            Both of the factories mentioned seem to have used almost identical colours at times, so not so easy to differentiate.
For what it's worth again a comment from the above book..............."In most cases the Riihimaki cased mold-blown pieces are heavier and of finer quality than Aseda."..............presumably you'd need an example from both factories in order to see that difference.
